The Hamlets.
"Within the scope of the tourism development
of the area, an increasing amount of importance has been given to
the two hamlets of Castelluzzo and Macari. While it's true that
Mother Nature endowed the central town with a beautiful sandy shore,
it is also undeniable that the two hamlets overlook a gulf and a
coastline with few equals in the world. Set like precious gems in
the points of a crown, the two hamlets unite the pure beauty of
the sea with peacefulness surrounded by an absolutely gorgeous green.
Macari,
for example, has always had an elite position in the choice of homes,
clinging as it does to the slopes of the mountain, facing the great
Cofano and fabulous sunsets.
The
name Castelluzzo has always been connected to the production
of wonderful olive oil. Among the level expanses of its olive groves,
it continues to be able to meet any requests for retreat or farm
tourism."
Since 1952, the hamlets of Makari and Castelluzzo have been officially
part of the territory of San Vito Lo Capo.
